"I was attracted to UCLan because it was one of the few universities in the UK that offered the course I wanted to study and I liked the location of the North West. I enjoy the practical lab-based work. It gives bench experience and tends to be more interesting.
“I had been in the UK for a previous three years studying my undergraduate in Lancaster which is close so I visited Preston often, so I have been here for a little while. I have found it to be an enjoyable experience and enjoyed it so far.
“I would advise students to come with an open mind, take full advantage of the experiences, (new and old) and embrace the culture. For example, before I arrived I didn’t know in the UK that people from different regions have different accents.”
