UCLan was the best option for me because it was close to where I live and the fees were not as high as in some other universities around. It also provides world class education and great facilities and support. Being in a group of students from different backgrounds and nationalities is a great experience and could bring a number of benefits. Also, the residential trips were a real pleasure and something I was looking forward to since day one.
Moving to a foreign country is never easy but I would say socializing with your fellow students can be helpful. Some of them can give you really useful tips about how to make your life easier and get used to your new surroundings. Also, there is enough information available from UCLan’s student support services and they are always ready to help you.
Make the most of your study by being focused, openminded, involved in university activities and cautious when it comes to nightlife and partying. There is a lot to see and a lot to learn – don’t miss out!
I am thinking about doing a PhD in Business and Management whenever possible. In the mean time I am hoping to continue my career in banking. Having a British degree is a dream to many people. It is recognized over the world and therefore it is a great investment. If you have the opportunity, just go for it, you won’t regret it.
