Monica Nowotny

BSc (Hons) Architecture

International student - Romania

Monica studied BSc (Hons) Architecture at the School of Built and Natural Environment, UCLan.

This is her experience of studying at UCLan and living in Preston.

"I heard that UCLan is a good University and I like my tutors, they are really nice people and they know how to teach.

I like my course because I study how to build and think environmentally and we have a lot of work to do. I used to have a lot of questions but The <i> helped me a lot and gave me all the instruction that I needed to fit into university life. English people are really kind, warm and friendly. They know how to make you feel better when you are missing home. I would advise any international students not to feel like a stranger - you’ll find your way. Good luck!"
