After completing over 1,000 hours of unpaid work in the last year for GMP as a Special Constable whilst studying for his policing degree at the University of Central Lancashire’s Burnley Campus, 19-year-old Michael was recommended for the award by both his Special Constabulary and Neighbourhood Policing Team supervision.

Michael commented:
“I feel really proud to receive this award and have got a lot out of my time at the Bury Division. I’ve dealt with a wide variety of policing incidents over the last year and now feel I have a good level of both theoretical and practical knowledge to establish a career in the Police.”
