Community Leadership students with the British Ambassador in Muscat

Community Leadership Students from the University of Central Lancashire's (UCLan) Burnley Campus visited Muscat as part of their research for the Global Community Exchange module. The undergraduates compared the culture between Oman and the UK with a particular focus on volunteering and active citizenship. They met the British Ambassador HE Jamie Bowden, the British Council Director, Paul Doubleday as well as Directors of Charities and Non-Governmental organisations.

‘Visiting Muscat and looking at the development work of Non-Governmental Organisations was a truly amazing and humbling experience which broadened our horizons and networks. It was a great honour to visit Muscat and utilise this world class opportunity and build lasting memories’.
