BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science graduate 2011

My experience at UCLan is really a special one!

The main thing that makes UCLan so unique is the friendly atmosphere. As a non-UK student, I didn’t feel lonely when I arrived here. Whatever my problem, I am sure to find someone who is there to help me. All I need to do is ask. The Biomedical Science course is a quite challenging but interesting. The staff members are very friendly and supportive. We even call our lecturers by their first names! They are always there to guide and encourage us.

UCLan has many great facilities as well. The library is one of my favourites because it is so modern. It has a lounge, lots of PCs and even a shower. It is really huge and high-tech. UCLan has lots of sports clubs and societies where you can make friends and share common interests and hobbies. I am in the International Society and the Catholic Society. Through them, I have met people from around the globe. They also organise trips for you to discover some wonderful places inside and outside England.

UCLan is situated in a small and peaceful city where you can find everything you need - from cheap food to lively clubs where you can have loads of fun.

I'll always cherish my experience at UCLan - it is one of the universities you will love to go to!
